2020 Primary School Championships
The weather turned on for a cracking day at Holdfast Bay today for the 2020 Primary School Championships.
27 students from across South Australia were in attendance which made up 7 sections of singles. The 7 section winners and one lucky loser progressed through to Knockouts which saw the following 4 make it through to the Semi Finals;
- Charlie Hicks
- Anda Panchawat
- Kobe Jarman
- Cameron Jamison
Some tough games in the semi’s saw Anda take the win against Charlie, and Kobe take the win against school mate Cameron.
The gold medal match therefore saw Anda and Kobe going head to head where Anda came out victorious and taking the Gold Medal. Kobe accepted the Silver Medal and Charlie collected the Bronze Medal in a tough game Cameron.
- GOLD – Anda Panchawat
- SILVER – Kobe Jarman
- BRONZE – Charlie Hicks
The fun didn’t stop there…
Those that were not lucky enough to make it through their section found themselves playing in either a Pairs or Triples format competing for yet another medal. Pairs were played in a “3 Bowl Pairs” format and the Triples a “2 Bowl Triples” format where winners were calculated on a shots up basis.
Round 1 of these formats saw 4 draws and 1 win making competition very tight heading into Game 2.
Game 2 had some large wins and some more very close games. The Medal getters at the completion of todays play were;
- GOLD – Billy Brind / Jack May / Georgina Hickman
- SILVER – Sophia Hickman / Ava Vass / Mia Baldey
- BRONZE – Jamie Smith / Jayden Green
A fantastic day out on the wonderful Holdfast Bay greens!
Thank you to the Holdfast Bay Bowling Club and all the parents and teachers who helped to make this event run so smoothly.
