Bowls SA Educational Services
Our professional education programs are suitable for students in Years 4/5 right through to offering Year 11/12 SACE courses.
The programs are designed to not only take students through the basic skills of Lawn Bowls but to also expose them to a variety of formats in which the sport can be played.
All of our courses are delivered by experienced Bowls SA School Program Coaches, who are professionally trained and Police checked to be able to work with students.
Bowls SA School Program Coaches must undergo the following stringent rules:
Hold at least a Level One Coaching Qualification in Lawn Bowls
Undergo a National Police Check
Complete the www.playbytherules.net.au online course for Coaches
Sign a Bowls SA Code of Ethics
Undergo regular performance appraisals and feedback.
We do this to ensure schools are provided with quality coaches and are secure in the knowledge that students welfare and safety is being taken care of.
Bowls SA also encourage any Physical Education Teachers, who have a minimum Level 1 ‘General Principals’ in coaching, to teach the sport of Lawn Bowls to their students using the Bowls SA
‘Teachers Manual’ or the
‘SACE Teachers Manual’. If you choose this option, please contact the Bowls SA
Development Manager to discuss arrangements.
