Coach of the Year Award

Coach of the Year Award 2010

Coaches have for the most part been a long forgotten necessity to our sport. How many people, when they first took up bowls, had access to a coach, or who feel they would have benefited from a couple of lessons from a trained coach?

The Bowls SA Coaching Committee sees the role of the coach as vital to the growth and development of the sport and its participants.

This season the creation of the ‘Coach of the Year’ award will provide a forum to recognise a South Australian coach who has worked tirelessly to develop bowlers.

The Coach of the Year will be decided by the Bowls SA Coaching Committee from nominations received from Bowls SA members and clubs. The Coach of the Year will receive recognition in the SA Bowler as well as presentation of the award at the Bowls SA Awards event.

The Nomination form also includes the criteria by which the award will be decided

If you know of a coach who you believe has made a vital effort to the sport of bowls, please download the ‘Coach of the Year’ nomination form by clicking the image below or for more information, please contact the Bowls SA Development Manager on 8234 7544.
